• LS6 swap

My rear end was blown out due to a bad axle bearing so im gonna upgrade to a 3.73 moser 12 bolt locker and since im doing that im gonna do a motor swap. I have about 10 grand saved up from working at lowes. currentlt im looking for a LS6 after market or used.. and suggestions on how hard it will be.

no idea, but i cant follow your line of thought. since im replacing te rear end i might as well do the motor too? 10 grand should be enough money if youd rather do that than buy an ls1 car.
    The confusion surrounds me
change is imminent
if I were they
we could be great

Yeah, i'm not getting your thoughts either. A rear end is a relativly easy swap, motors on the other hand....

yea, and I heard that an LS6 is only different from the LS1 by the internals. If its too hard to get the LS6 then get an LS1 and work your way up!

swap in a ls1 add a ls6 intake mani or a lsx mani and a new cam. much cheaper than buying a ls6

Screw an ls6, its just an ls1 with a better intake manifold and cam. Just get an ls1 and get even better intake manifolds and a better cam and itll be better than an ls6 not to mention cheaper. if you opted for a different lsof the lsx motors be a trend starter and go for the ls7.

like i said a ls1 with a better cam and better intake is cheaper.

                  LS7 swap would be nuts.

Sounds like a good idea, but you'd rarely have the chance to test out its fullest potential anyways hahaha either or LS1-LS6-LS7 You'd have a better time playing with the LS1 and LS6 on the interstate hahaha mostly LS1 right now though.

I've driven the LS1 once and it was supercharged and it's a monster. I swear I think it was pushing atleast 400-450hp to the wheels and it was 6spd. Its for sale right now, but I don't have the $$$. I hate to say it but if I had the money to get it right now I would and take parts off my Sheila and put them on the 6spd. They don't make my spoiler anymore. I'd try to make the same car again, but this time I'd have much power to back up what my looks promise.

ls7 is gonna be too much, save for a ls1 , build that with supercharger, would be cheaper.

ls6 has different cam, heads, block has been modified (cant remeber what they did), and different manifold. so far on our ls1, we put the ls6 manifold, cleaned out the injectors, throttlebody bypass, ram air, short shifter, corsa indy exhaust, lowered. ive raced that car against a low 12's m3 and beat it. we gotta get it to the track after we replace the clutch and dyno tune it after installing headers and cats.

ls1 is capable of over 800 hp, and its cheaper then the ls6.
