  • Forged Crank Shafts.

Does anyone make them for 3.8 SII's? Can you just give specs to a crankshaft maker and get one? I was wondering how much a bored&stroked 3.8 would run? Stage 3 heads from intense, forged pistons bored.035 with forged rods, crankshaft.

i don't think theres enough cylinder wall to bore it over .035...I think it's been said the max is .010 or .020...

Uh 4.3L's (262ci) are the most common. They can accept a bore and stroke of up to 4.125 inches.

Rounding the engine out to a stroked 321ci or 5.3L (about the size of Ford's Triton V8)

Anyway, Scat will make you a , Eagle might too, but unless you are dedicated to the V6, its really not worth it. With an oversized you are also talking about having to go with custom length rods, and pistons to match. That price doesn't include machining to make it all work together.

I seriously doubt that they are actually forged for that price. Either the guy was mininformed for the price is wrong. Not for that price though.

The highest bore you can go with our motor is .030" and that's really pushing it, your in the water jacket after that.
