I need help. I got my old cam out and it has that little tab attached to the very front bearing for the cam sensor. the powermax 2030 #254122 i got doesnt have a tab in this exact location, instead its got what looks to be a smaller cam lobe in front of the 4 first lobes... if that makes any sense. Im just wondering, could you take a picture of your OLD cam that you took out of the car and post it up here for me to see? because as it looks right now, im not going to be able to use this cam..
does your car have a cam position sensor? Its liek two little wires comin out of the block right above the front timing cover?
Please if you could give me an answer ASAP it'd help me out tremendously.

I read an old post about how that powermax 2030 cam may not work in some 3.4's . I think it depends on what year 3.4 you have.
Im trying to help you out but I dont think you will get much out of it. For one , I cant get a picture of my old cam for a while so thats not good. If you seriusly want help you should go to predator5100 and Stagen. They had the same excact problem you had and where talking about it in an old post in the advanced tech. The thread title was "STAGEN MAGNUS Or Anyone quick". I suggest you read up on that and contact Stagen or predator5100. They can help you out for sure . Have you given crane a call yet ? You should call them to find out . Before my mechanic ordered my powermax 2030 cam he made me go tell him my vehicle # or something like that. Im not sure if the car has a cam position sensor but all I know is its working fine in my car .

Man im truely sorry but my car is at the shop right now and I have no way of knowing it. Isnt it on the side of the passenger door or something close to that?
All I really remember was my dad saying that it was a late 94 camaro.

yea its on the drivers side.. u can see it from the outside of the car. i thought mine was a late 94, its number 99377 out of something liek 120K cars in 94? guess mine isnt late enough.
heres a pic f the 2 cams.. stock is on top.. new one is the bottom. as you can see, way different.
Yeah , my mechanic told me that when he talked to crane they said that the early 94 3.4's have problems with the powermax 2030 cam. Mine is a late 94 and my car was running fine except for the rockers knocking.
