Got the engine out and apart - what now ?

Well I finely pulled the engine out !

Couple of weird things though:
1. The crank has 3.1L stamped in it - is this correct?
2. The hone on the cylender walls looks very odd - not the typical cross pattern - it looks like someone was in there
3. The VIN on the block matches
4. Glad I pulled it - the cam barrings are SHOT - very rough and down to the copper part - the edges are gold in color


Now, I am measuring everything today, see how that turns out and see what has to be replaced.

Now for the fun parts:
1. What is a good cam, I plan on not doing any other mods, except a CAI, and the stock rockers
2. Any other simple mods I can do while I am in there?

I see you have a list of the different cams people use, but we need a comments field as part of the list and a list of other mods - this would help people out when selecting a cam - THANKS

the only cam I suggest using if you are keeping stock everything else, is a 2030.
