  • 3.4 driveability prob

Im having a huge drivability problem on a 3.4.
It has only occurred in the last few months but seems to come and go.
To warm you up to this it is an engine swap I did
7 yrs ago and ran fine for almost that long.
    Ive swapped a 3.4 from a 94 f body to an 83 S10 4x4 Blazer.
I used all the PCM and sensors from the donor car.
It now doesnt want to idle and will even stall at downshifting(5 speed).Ive pulled the IAC apart and cleaned it and reset the PCM a few times.
Ive also checked for vacuum leaks.I need some sort of diagnostic tool for the PCM to see whats up in there. Im spoiled by all my OBDII cars as I have autotap to diagnose those.
Is there any readers I can build to use my laptop
    for this PCM?
I have both manual trans and auto trans PCMs and am currently running the MT one.

Check plugs, all getting spark? Bad coil pack?
    Check fuel pressure?
Check throttle body, intake for leaks, clogs?
    Check backpressure? Clogged cat?
