a/c compressor

Ok i knew my car needed freion because my mechanic told me that it needed some, but i never got to it cause well just plain out to lazy...But it started blowing out hot air and the clutch isn't locking anymore and my car is also starting to over heat and i noticed that this happned at the sametime the ac went out, and he also unplugged my headlights because one won't go up...Now i was wondering that with a good doze of oil charger and some freion if my ac will work again thanks. and also my radiator fan wen't out the same time the a'c started blowing out hot air could this be a short somewhere. Because it turns on it'self time to time. But for small periods of time. My car is a 95 firebird 3.4

The car has a safety feature that keeps the compressor from being engaged when it is low on freon, so filling it would probably fix that problem. The fans are programmed to come on with the a/c, so if you're not running ac, they'll only come on when the car is hot.

So yeah, refilling the compressor would fix your problems. That's only if you don't have a leak in the system.

yeah man thanks for the info it was just that it needed freon and the dam mechanic from the dealership told me it was the whole compressor that needed to be replaced and he wanted to 400 bucks for it. I'll take 30 bucks over 400 and yeah i noticed i had a leak but that is less than 50 bucks to fix.
