This topic hasn't been beat to death yet, and I don't want to insult those of you who think its a stupid question for the v6 advanced board, but I am curious as to what is needed to install a new cam on an L36.
I am aware the LS1 can have a camswap done without pulling the heads, is this true for the L36 too or not? How much would labor run if a shop did it? Thanks guys, I hope this isn't too general.
You don't need to pull the heads, just the top and front end of the motor including the rockers/pushrods/lifters/timing assembly/water pump combo. I have a list of parts and numbers which I'm giving to Keith so I'm sure his write up will be very helpfull for future installers.
Excellent... There is a new dyno located on grandprixstore.com under their cams showing a 10%+ increase in power by just swapping cams Im impressed, check it out if interested...
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
