    I agree completely. And with a lighter, harder rod, those things can help raise hp. It doesn't matter whether or not the rod bends or breaks altogether, the rod is fuct. But a little cryo treating will solve that issue of being brittle anyway, making this whole argument obsolete.

        Hmmmm, I saw 670 hp on the dyno and assumed it was at the wheels. That would come out to around the 800 hp at the crank that he said. Maybe he thought the same thing I did?

              Hmm, Having a rod break vs. having a rod bend or deform. I would rather have it break. Again like said above a bent or deformed rod is just as bad as a broken rod.
