can a V8 fit?

Can an LT1 and an LS1 fit in a V6 camaros engine bay? A guy i work with told me they cant due to the firewalls are different on the z28s. But ive read posts that guys have done engine swaps.
Im not planning on doing anything massive like that im just curious.

ls1 swap.. and yes. its been done millions of times.

they have a v6 to v8 conversion guide for lt1 and ls1 engines.

they mention that an ls1 floorboard is different.

people do swap the motors though. have not done it myself. i have not heard of a problem with the firewall.

I'm also thinking of doing a swap. I have an 01 Camaro A4. Is there some kind of engine/tranny package that i can get?
