generally a split duration cam will be used for a car that is running nitrous, a large ammount of compression, or boost from a suprecharger
it is used because of the excess ammount of exhaust gasses produced by such motors-Aaron, AKA ATL2001
93 3.4L
www.ilfba.com

is that advised for the Comp cam on josh's site. or if i plan on nitrous, should i run a split ratio setup. i ultimately plan on deciding on my cam once the heads are done, and flow bench tested, just want to have all my options in line with price ranges ahead of time. PLus, i love all of the feedback!

You can call Lunati or Comp and tell the cam tech guys what you want to do and they can offer you a good custom cam selection. From there, get the grind number that they give you and the specs and you are good to go. Then, you can call me and I can put the order through for you. It will be the same price as the 16.000.5 cam since that is technically a custom grind also.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

How are you gonna run a roller system on the 3.4L V6? The oiling system is not effecient enough to run the roller system.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

It's going to be a solid roller cam. What oiling problems are you referring to?

The main reason that nobody has switched to a roller system on the 3.4s is that the oil distribution through the lifter valley is not sufficient. There would have to be some major block work to get it to operate correctly.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

New CNC or some thing like CNC cam grinding machines.
Now they can fill an order for a custom grind in less than 24hr if there not backed up and have the cores on hand.
They make the custom and standard cams on the same machine with the same process.\'85 Z28, T-tops new LG4 and TH700
\'85 3.4L 5-speed
mods: http://www.cardomain.com/id/oil_pan_4 the nitrous exhaust O2 safety, pg 3.
Areo space materal engineer wantabe
