If they've already been ported and polished, why would you need to do it again?

usually polishing the combustion chambers is included when the heads are ported & polished. gains would be seen also by thermal coating the combustion chambers ad valve faces. This keeps heat from radiating up into the heads and intake manifold, reducing intake temps, increasing knock threshold, and increasing power. this is especially good for turbo cars where heat energy helps turn the turbine. more heat energy gets to the turbine means quicker spool up.

polishing the combustion chamber also reduces the chance of predetonation by smoothing the surface of the head and reducing the chances of hot spots developing in the combustion chamber. its a good idea to do if you are going thru the hassle of p&p the rest of the heads.
