    can someone tell me what exactly a 3 angle valve job is? and how, or if it makes your car faster/runs better? thanks [img]smile.gif[/img]

      thanks DEE..you got anymore info on performance outcomes of a valve job? or would you or anyone know if you could feel a difference in performance once accomplished the valve job?

        I am getting one right now, but on a ported set of heads, so I don't think I could say what the valve job accomplished. I have heard than on a 350 it could be worth 10-15 HP. I am guessing 6-10hp on a v-6. Of course, all heads are different and some will gain more than others. If you have the heads off and are porting them, it would be a sin not to get a valve job. But taking the heads off for just a valve job might not be worth the $ and effort.

        FYI, on a 3.8L, most of the gains are around the valve area. So a combination of bowl blending and a valve job can accomplish alot. Alot more than hogging out the ports.

          Thanks again for the info Dee...my heads were already off due to a blown headgasket..im gettin the valve job done for just $150 more so i said sure y not!! i originally wanted the hads ported too but the guy at the shop said my heads were really good and porting them would not make a big diference..so im just gettin the valve job...hope i see/feel a diference!!

            whoever said porting the heads is not worth it is full of crap, thats the best mod to do for a naturally aspirated car, the heads are where all the horsepower is.
