when you port and polish the heads and the intake manifold do you need to tune the pcm or will it run with out doing anything to the computer? will it cause it to run rich or lean? any enlightenment would be helpfull thanks.

the computer should adjust for the increase in air flow and add fuel accordingly, unless the injectors are maxed out, or the fuel pressure isn't high enough, then u should run fine. tuning is important w/ cam change because the pcm has a knock sensor, and sometimes the lopiness of a cam will make the computer pull timing prematurely, giving u less power.

cool thanks. I was just thinking that those mods arent really that much more than just adding a bunc of boltons, except they are labor intensive but I could do them my self and have a faster car. I was just curious about the pcm because that I really dont know that much about. thanks for the info.
