Change timing in HP Tuners??...HELP!!

i ordered the intense racing standard PCM file...im wondering if i can run nitrous with it...they say they advance the timing 3*...but i cant see where when i open the file with HP Tuners...there is no one value...its all tables and stuff...what do i set the spark advance values to in order to have all the gains of the rest of the standard file...but with stock timing (which is all they said they would do if i ordered a custom file)?? thanks [img]smile.gif[/img]

threshold is set to 5975 rpm stock, the table that they changed is on the high octane timing table

really??...i thought it was at least like 6200 ..do you know what the timing is?...this isnt on the high or low octane table...this is right on the Spark Advance tab under V6 Spark RPM Limiter..

if i change this on the High Octane Table...do you know what settings i enter to just use factory spark??...if they didnt change the low octane table as far as timing advance...could i just copy that table to the high octane table??

oh im definitely changing that...especially since im gonna be spraying...im gonna drop that to 6000 ...but how do i change the timing???...theres no simple value "advance" or "retard"...its all these tables and crap??

Just add 3 to every value in the high oct table.

But you should really read up on tuning for about 3-4 weeks. Because unless you know what you are doing you could really screw chit up.

^^ok..so you say ADD 3 ..and that will actually LOWER the amount of timing it advances??

No that will Advance the timing 3 degrees.

If you want to reduce the timing by 3, subtract 3 from the whole table.

Advance means to increase timing, retard means to reduce timing. It is called timing advance because it is usually a positive number.

ok..i just want stock timing...i believe for this file they advance it 3* ...so if i want all the benefits of the file except the timing advance since im going to be running nitrous...do i want to SUBTRACT 3 from all the values in the high octane table?...what about the low actane?..thanks!!

Just copy and paste the stock pcm bin valves for that table(both tables if you want) in then.
