yeah im considering removeing mine too...so far i've removed just over 100 lbs. from the back end but i've definitely dropped more than .1 ...theres no for sure way to tell...depends on how the car is geared, traction, etc. ;)
still have the front half of the carpet to go, front sway bar, passenger seat, and bumper supports [img]smile.gif[/img]
I just removed my A/C unit today (I was doing some repairs and had to move it) and either I'm a super strong freak ;) or it's light... so... I'm guessing it's pretty light... but I've heard it'll give you some horse back and get rid of some weight... good luck
I just hoped you took your car to an auto shop first and had the freeon pumped out from the system. Letting that sutff free into the atmosphere is bad for the ozone layer.
if you want to drop 30lbs off your nose just get a hawker 12lb dry cell battery...i wanted to drop 30lbs from the nose but keep my a/c since the car is also my daily driver...so thats what im doing...you can drop another 23lbs by removing the front bumper brace (i do not recommend this..but you can) [img]smile.gif[/img]
thanks for the help. i haven't bought it yet because i had to buy new tires among other things but the info is appreciated. any other relatively cheap ways of gutting weight or freeing up hp would be great also

I wish I had known enough to run a short belt of the intense AC delete kit a little over a year ago when my AC motor took a crap. If I knew now what I did then, I would have deleted the whole system myself with the intense bracket and saved myself about $550 that I paid a shop. As it is, I spent the money and still dont have an AC system that works worth a damn.
At some point, its coming the hell out.

well my reason for ne of this is just to save weight and maybe a litle gas-better handling. i dont plan to go all out with forced induction or ne thing like that- or even worse body kits but the engines still slow. i just want a little better of a car thats still steet legal and stuff.
plus i care little for comfort. i plan to just have an engine on wheels. so far all i have is a k&n filter kuz im young and poor

Just ordered some Toyo 315/35/17 tires for my 17x11 rims. Hopefully I can get them on the beginning of next year. Will post pics.
