  • OIL PAN GASKET!!

Ive had it replaced 3 times in the last 1,000 miles!! They have been under warranty but what could the problem be! IS is possible that pressure is being built up and is breaking the seal???

is it chunking apart from underneath the crank, just leaking, what????

What condition is your oil pan in, especially around the seal lip?

I've heard the cork gaskets that GM dealerships use suck. I replaced mine with a rubber gasket from NAPA and it worked fine. Not sure if that'll help you with the warranty work though.

could be that the oil is coming from a source higher up and hitting the oil pan gasket and "wicking" around the oil pan gasket making it look like the pan gasket is leaking, after being replaced 3 times sounds like people other than "pros" working on it.

Replace the front and rear mains along with the pan gasket. (Or if it is coming from the back of the pan only, just the rear main)

Make sure and use a little RTV on the area of the pan gasket that meets up with the front and rear main seals. The gasket edge that sticks down from the rear main is not usually flush with the cover, and it protrudes a little bit. Fill in the area with RTV...
