Computer Swap from newer F-body?

I know this question has been asked before, but I can't find it. Anybody know if a computer out of a 2000 firebird will swap into a 1996 w/o any prob? This would be an easier way to go for computer tuning than a custom tune for us earlier firebirds that don't have tuners. Thanks for any help.

So far the pblms listed have been the TB and O2 sims are different. Can't I change those out? I know it seems like a lot of work, but I think this would be a much cheaper way to go.

You would have to change the TB, the pedals and cables, possilby the fuel tank... too much wiring..

Your best bet would be to try a 98, but it still wouldn't be a direct swap. You would have to completely rewire the pinouts for the PCM.

I recomend buying a MAFT+ to tune instead.
