Well this fall prior to storage, it sounded like i had an army of blacksmiths in my engine, it has about 60,000 miles on it, and alas i need to tighten the rockers, etc. So I figure if i have to rip everything apart, i might as well move up 10 1.6es, but then i figure if i have to get that deep into the engine, why the hell not throw in a cam? Alas, if i need a cam, i might as well throw on some better flowing heads too, lol.. and heck, while i've got all that apart, i might as well bolt ona set of headers too! The beauty part? The most complicated thing, mechanically i've ever done was change plugs, coilpacks, general things like that... I am plannning on doing this on early spring, and so i'll be studying the Haynes manual like mad Now, for my stock 3.4 internals now, What would you guys reccommend as far as cam, valvetrain stuff, etc? Personally I know heads with the right stuff would be a nice gain, but they may just be too much, i know a cam and rockers etc, can prolly be done.. Provided i work slow and steady, do you think this is possible?
I really cant afford the labour of the mechanics!
