    I really need the part number for replacement lifters or if there is a better set.

    Good post, I have seen some lifters that are a far cry better than stock (but cant remember where they were). They were a moly coated set and were extremely light and strong, looked intriguing... the guy running them gained around 2rwhp over normal lifters, which isnt bad [img]smile.gif[/img] I'll look around!

    I don't think when it comes to lifters you need (3800-II special lifters)... just some kind of size/length/ability. Hang on, going into deep search mode.

          I had my engine rebuilt and ever since the lifters have clicked!!! :mad: So im lookin at geting a completely new HIGH PERFORMAMCE valvetrain. I like the Delphi lifters, but where can I buy them/ how much?

            Stock valve lifter could be either of these 2 part #'s:

            Just got off the phone with AMM and he said that '98 cars use 2 different style lifters. Im not sure this implies on post '98 or pre '98 but I know for sure '98 3.8's have these two different style lifters.

            steel pushrod seat: 17121905
            blue pushrod seat: 17122490

            There is really no way to tell which one untill you pull your lifter out. I would guess maybe a dealer could run your vin# but im still not sure.

              I belive our stock lifters are fine. Any gain would be from a restricted oil metering hole keeping the ratio lifters pumped up during high rpms.
