Man, just checking out the 3800performance site. They have (2) grinds they consider acceptable for the L36, made me wanna puke!

Xtreme Energy L36 Cam 1 Specs:
    - Duration at .050 = 191 degree intake/201 degree exhaust
    - Intake Lift = .300 (.480 lift with stock 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    - Exhaust Lift = .312 (.496 lift with stock 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    - Lobe Separation = 110.0

Xtreme Energy L36 Cam 2 Specs:
    - Duration at .050 = 201 degree intake/205 degree exhaust
    - Intake Lift = .312 (.496 lift with stock 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    - Exhaust Lift = .300 (.480 lift with stock 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
    - Lobe Separation = 112.0

Severe Wimpo Cams... Why do they even bother with these? The LS isnt going to make up for the severe lack of duration!

Got a problem with Low-duration cams? I'm looking for a lots-of-torque cam for 2k-4.5k rpms (autocross, NOT drag racing). Perhaps one of these?

Well they will perform, but they don't offer *much* more torque than even a 206/212... The torque loss isn't apparant until you surpass 212 intake dur.

outta curiosity where are you getting your numbers from?? I have become intrigued by the idea of a new cam for my bird but really have nothing to reference from.. any sites or places where I can get info (well yeah I have been reading the site but it really seems not many have dyno numbers from the cams)

Everything is a best guess. People need to buy cams and see what happens.

              1. Because very few buy cams for all out racing
              2. Stock heads flow better with lift under .5" and even a smaller percentage spend the extra money to port their heads.
