  • Part #'s needed for cam install

Everyone has been asking for part #'s lately. Here are all the part #'s you will need for a successfull cam install:

    1. 12480831 intake set
    2. 24504789 upper set
    3. 25532619 valve cover gaskets, need 2
    4. 24502252 timing cover gasket
    5. 24504668 timing chain
    6. 24503515 rocker arm bolts

These Part#'s are for a '98 3.8. Most of them should be the same except for prior 98 lower intake gasket set may differ.

    Did I forget any?

I believe the valve cover gaskets come in pairs..

I also believe you can get an upper/lower intake gasket kit.

Yea I remember the '97 gasket set I sold you came with uppers and lowers. But I know the 98 gaskets are different. Maybe its possible that 98 gaskets needs to be bought seperate upper and lower. Is there any way we can find this out?

And about the valve cover gaskets, can you verify the part # and be for sure it comes with 2 gaskets?

These are the part #'s I got from GMpartsdirect.com.

I just need to be sure I am ordering the right parts.
