  • Rev Limiter Read

Ok I was in General Tech and I just asked a simple question if I could take my Rev Limiter off or not. I sware to god that my 3.8L Camaro won't let me rev in neutral or in park past 4000rpms, call me a liar like everyone else did, but this is true. Everyone got angry with me for no apparant reason saying I didn't even own an fbody and that I was an idiot. They said that the rev limiter is at around 6000rpms or so. I guess one guy took offense and thought i was some mustang guy trying to make fun of fbodys. First I just said nicely that I didn't appreciate him calling me an idiot, then he comes back busting on my car so I retaliated and the admin told me to take my **** somewhere else. So could someone please tell without any trouble why my car doesn't rev past 4000 and others are at 6000?
Any help without any trouble would greatly be appreciated, im new to the board and im starting to not like it already.

In neutral and park, the rev limiter is set to 4000 RPMs. When the car's in gear it's at 6100 RPMs, I believe.

Don't worry about those other guys. You'll have alot of fun here!
