  • Throwing a code! HELP

    I have reset my pcm and i am still throwing the code:
    P0420 Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
    What does this mean and what do i need to do to fix it?
    i have replaced the cat

    sound like the O2 sensor behind the cat is bad or theres still something wrong

      soundss like you need an 02 sim.. or tuning software..

          well i went ahead and put back on the original o2s that were on the manafolds. i reset the pcm again and cleared all codes so i will see if this fixes it.

                A O2 Sim doesn't cover that particular code, if you have HP Tuners just delete that code and you won't have to worry about it [img]smile.gif[/img] I was told by the tuner at TSP who tuned my PCM that the code was set off by adding the Magnaflow cat and that it would have no bad effects if I disabled it, so I did, and haven't had a problem since.

                    P0420 is the exact reason to get an O2 sim.
