  • Removing Heads on a 3.4L

Any tips on the removing the heads on my 3.4L? Everything is let go but those heads seem to be stuck on there good.

Soft mallot. Tap lightly around the top of the head (where the valve cover goes) at an angle to break the head gasket free.

If you are sure all 8 head bolts are off and the accessories bracket is separated then I would recombined carefully prying the heads off on a casting protrusion. Just don't slip and scratch a mating surface.
