my 85 2.8 mpfi automatic firebird stalls. i think its because the rpms are very low when im in gear on the break.... or just in park...it sometimes does it when im shifting into or out of reverse. what can i do? and it dose not matter how lonmg the engine has been running for

This happened to me often when I had my 89 rs 2.8, especially while turning into a parking space kinda slowly. It could be several things. Turning up your idle won't help, i tried that. It could either be your maf is going bad, dirty fuel injectors, or a clogged fuel filter. I would also try thirdgen.org. That's where I got all my help when I had my 3rd gens.
