  • Spark plug wire resistance?

Does any one know what the resistance of spark plug wires is(in ohm's) for a 99 camaro 3.8l.? I think mine are going bad cause the engine is misfiring bad and I just changed pluges but did not help added injuctor cleaner and no change there either. The wires on there now only been on for about 25,000 miles or so. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure....I know most wires the acceptable range is anything under like 8000ohms per foot. I could be wrong about ours, but I have read 8000/ft in ASE study guides and such. They do have a tester/tool to see if a wire is good, plug in both sides, and it tells you.

msd and accel have 40-50opf, taylors and some other aftermarket wires are usually 400-500, so stock has to be a bit more than that cuz they are suppression core not spiral wound.
