problems with hptuners

no one on the hptuners forums seems to want to help.... I just got it and am trying to connect it to my car, i turned it to the on position and waited 10 seconds opened up vcm flash and hit read pcm, it doesnt read as my car being connected... During installation was i supposed to enter a code or something?

error code? anything like that..

there are about 100 things that could be causing that problem..

maybe its just your data link connector not functioning and not really a problem with HP tuners. Theres a fuse that powers the DLC and i cant remember which one. Maybe check those.

pgriffith's sugestion is a strng possibility..

if that fuse is blown.. it cant power the cable..
thats where it gets its power..

and well.. that would cause it to have the problems you are having..

check it out..
