I know this has been covered many times, but I am looking for a few definate answers to some questions.
Radiator, our stock radiator won't work with the V8 because of what? Hose placement? Or just fluid capacity for cooling?
LT1 crossmember, will that bolt right up to the 98 body, custom motor mounts needed?
Anything else I need to know off the top of my head?

The V6 is dead. I think I spun a bearing. Depending on how bad the carnage is I will either rebuild it or just swap out the motor, and start the LTT1 project

LT1s are reverse cooled, heads, then block so the outlets on the radiator are in different spots. LT1 k-member will bolt in just fine.
Complete LT1 engine and transmission assembly, motor mounts, k-member, Cross memeber, radiator, LT1 fuel pump assembly, Heater hoses, rubber fuel lines, coolant hoses, A/C condenser, accumulator and evaporator, Underhood relay harness, dash harness, engine harness, PCM, Guage Cluster, front and rear suspension, intake, all brackets and belt driven accessories, and Exhaust up to the catalytic converter is what I got for my LT1 swap.
I also did a LT1 swap in my '98. I had to buy new gauge and pin set, pa racing tubular k member, lt1 radiator, I had to custom the end fittings on my ac lines, engine, trans, pcm, all acc., Longtube headers, y pipe, all exhaust from the catback will work fine, suspension was also ok, I still havent decided what to do with the air intake system. Right now i have it hooked up to a SLP LS1 lid system, i wonder if the LT1 CAI's would work though?
If you do a LT1 swap in a '98 make certain you get a OBD2 Pcm and harness. And that the block is '96 or '97, theres alot of differences in older years.
If you have more specific questions you can email me.
Yeah but your kmember was messed up, correct? You're aftermarket one was like 500 bucks and I'm sure that drove up your total cost considerablely. I'd think a stock LT1 tranny would bolt right up no problems.

You won't be able to use your V6 transmission as-is. The V6s and V8s use a different input shaft (why in the hell those idiots at GM did that, I'll never understand). You could either pick up a V8 trans, or, if you'd want to rebuild your transmission, you could change the input shaft and drum during the rebuild.

Hello every one, ozzy here ive been looking at this page for weeks now finally joined. So my question is why is it that every turbo build forum just ends...
Just ordered some Toyo 315/35/17 tires for my 17x11 rims. Hopefully I can get them on the beginning of next year. Will post pics.
