i'm going to be ordering a new cam next week. i'm getting the same specs as ironman24. i know i need a new timing chain, but what else do i need. tom said that i might need longer pushrods or get my heads milled .20 over. i'm not planning on getting done, so do i need longer pushrods or new springs, etc...

Ditto that. Whatever you do don't listen to Patrick Javert, otherwise you'll be needing new inconel exhaust valves. I need to know also. Just email Ironman, i am going to later.

I have heard you dont need new valve springs unless the cam lift is above .500 or so. Im sure it would compliment the cam very well to get the head work also. I am in the middle of getting heads and cam. I would just call Tom, he is really cool and could answer any questions you have.

hahaha, really funny scott. Getting springs and pushrods that comliment the new cam will ensure that you don't have any problems w/ broken pushrods in the future, or valve float at higher rpms.

i spoke with tom and he needs to findout as well. i know that head work would be nice but the funds just aren't there... i'm not going over .450 lift, so i can use the stock springs. i just worried about the pushrods, i'm going to use the maft+ for tuning.
