I don't think you would see much, I believe we already have hydraulic 1.6 roller rockers in our motors.

duration better than lift... (to a point of course)

        We have hydraulic roller lifters.

Our rockers however are not roller. But they are 1.6:1 ratio rockers.

Switching to a roller rocker of the same ratio would only be worth a few HP. Not worth the $$$ at all.

Reasons I would switch to a roller rocker is to quiet down the dang valve train after a cam swap.

I think ZZ performance sells any ratio you want from 1.6 to 1.9.

They'll even have aftermarket pushrods by this summer if you can wait. Give a little more stability with the high lift and all. :D

Mike I'm pretty clueless on this one too, but you might want to chat with Dom. He was thinking that if he used a less extreme aftermarket cam, he could make up some lift with higher ratio rockers. Contrary to popular belief, rockers do alter the duration along with lift, albeit slightly.

there is an interesting article in hot rod magazine this month where they test stock rockers, the factory pieces that were rated at 1.6 ratio actualy scored 1.45-1.55 none actualy had 1.6. the crane stamped, not roller, rockers they tested had 1.6-1.66 all the way throught the lift curve. So it might be a good idea to replace them with 1.6's any way.

I wouldn't suggest getting the new rockers unless you have done at least intake, exhaust, ignition, and maybe a chip or programmer. intake and exhaust to let more air in and out of the engine, ingition so that you are lighting off the entine mixture and not just some of it, and a chip/programmer to adjust air/fuel mixture, ingition timing, shift points, and shift firmness. Then the rocker arms would be a good idea. I'd get new springs and titanium retainers along w/ the roller rockers. I suggest this because it's easier and cost effective to put in new springs and retainers while the mechanic already has the rockers and valve covers off. the retainers will help prevent valve float at higher rpms due to less inertia, and the springs will force the valve to close quicker, also reducing valve float.
