i know you have to take off the starter, and loosen up all the bolts, but would i have to jack up the engine at all, seeing as i dont have anything to jack it up with im hoping that i wont have to
the engine type is a 3.4 any one have experiance with this?

shouldn't have to jack it up at all since the oil pan doesn't support the engine at all and your engine mounts will keep the engine in place

You have to jack up the motor to get the oil pan out... its a fun install.

remove motor mounts and pick up engine as much as possible, it will still be tight for the pan to come out.

On the car I did it on the tranny bellhousing was a on the way of the two back bolts on the pan too. So had to move that out of the way.
