  • Engine Swap or Sell 3.8 and buy 5.7 ???

    Wondering.....

Would it be cheaper to sell my six pack bird and buy and LS1 car or do an Ls1 engine swap? Just wondering what the cost would be for the engine swap and which option you guys thought would be better.

    Thanks

Figure $4000 to do the swap youself and LOTS of time.

You can figure out how much your car is worth and how much an LS1 car is used.

sell it you have a 2002 you can get a good price for it i would say probly 14K get another 5k and you could have an almost new z

or take the 14k and get a slightly used ls1 im sure you could find a 2000 probly with out that many miles for 14

also this is not advanced tech hell not even really general tech probly the lounge

buying a ss car would be cheaper then a swap but in the long run the swap would be cheaper because the insurence comp. does not know you have a v8
