Ender - I've heard personally the intense stage 1 cam, and it sounds GOOD. The owners love it. The PCM is untuned as of now, and the only side affect is that it runs rich.
She did get the upgraded pushrods, springs and lifters though because she had the motor rebuilt. The intsense cam does make it sound and feel obvious that the car has a cam in it. It lopes plenty and you can feel it inside the car.

I would put in LS6 springs with a GT1 cam. I dont think its worth the risk of trying to keep the stock springs.
I got valve float with a stock cam reving to 6000. They had 110k miles and I swaped them out for some low milage stock springs I had laying around and no more float.
after my car is warm my car lopes like mofo... the drive side of the car go's up and down like crazy..... some times its almost anoying when sitting at a stop slight and some time it don't do it at all

Well my system is really loud, so if i don't want to hear it i will just turn up the music. I talked to a couple of differnet places. All of which said with the GT1 i will be fine reving my car out to 6200 on stock everything no float or anything bad at all. And the stock limiter is at 5800 or 6000 right? So i should be just fine and dandy cause i am not going to touch the limiter.
2002 M5 camaro- VTR CAI, custom cat-back exhaust, battery compacitor, pullie, lowering springs, 32mm sway bar, cross-drilled slotted rotars. 1-10\" L7 in cubby.
If you don't rev over 6k you won't have valve float problems with the GT cam. Its a good cam and makes good power for being so small.

Yeah...but i have stock exhaust LOL! Talk about doing your mods in the wrong order. I asume that with stock exhaust i will only be picking up like 10 to the wheels. But then i am going to do exhaust, and then do a couple other things and adventually tuning from texas speed. Don't tell me to hold off on the cam, cause i am not going to...i would rather pay more and pick up less and have a sleeper car with less power. I am really into having a nice quiet car that no one knows what is about to hit them, it is nice.

Why dont you just get a take-off exhaust and a e-cutout or something then? Keep it quiet, then flip a switch right before you launch. You really should do supporting mods first.

He isn't going to spend a grand on the cam... it's going to be around $600 including labor.
And the cutout is a good idea, but I heard the motors always go out in them? I havn't heard good things about them... cutout is about $150 for a good one too I think. I got a high flow cat and 3" exhaust for $175 installed

wtf... My junk runs fine with the cutout open. 99k of driving the snot out of her and she keeps coming back for more. A plain jane cutout is only 35 bux. But a electric cutout will run 100+...

I wanted to get an electric cutout and the more I read, the more I saw the motor in the cutout goes bad. There is supposed to be like 1 good brand that works really well, but they're close to $200
