He is talking about ELECTRIC cut outs. I don't want one that i have to get under the car to undo. I was going to get an exhaust first...but when some tells you they can get you a cam in your car for 600...i am going to jump on that offer and then just do the other stuff later.

$600 installed with all parts? Make sure you're getting quality ****.

ZZP's install kit DID NOT include all the gaskets I needed.

If you are just doing the cam all you need is a water pump and front engine cover gasket I think (been a little while).

If you are doing lifters you'll need upper and lower intake gaskets also.

If you are going to do a cam you might as well do it right and spend some money. I have a GT2 and still want more, wish I'd of saved more and got a stall and GT3.

My GT2 lopes and sounds pretty damn mean at idle. At the track I get alot of wow that sounds like a pretty healthy LS1... And it sounds like an 8, til about 3500 anyways.

I'd also recomend you get some tuning done after the cam. Depending on the size i think its mandatory. Your looking at $300 at least to get a tune. My car put out 167 untuned with my cam.

If you do the cam replace the timing chain while your there. Don't cheap it because yours is most likely a little stretched out. Mine was anyways, with 52,000.

Did he tell you he'd put it in for $600? Or he would buy everything and put it in for $600?

I'd do springs if you get a cam also.

Maybe a little more if you need extra gaskets, from what blacksport says.

Yeah..but i think we aren't going to need to pull everything apart and stuff since we are just throwing in the cam. We don't need an install kit anymore i don't think...i will call a couple places and check.

You'll spend at least $100 on fluids alone.

You'll also need little parts that always break, such as the heater bypass pipes.

Why would you not need a cam install kit if you're installing a cam?

$100 is probably a little much, maybe $70-80.
