• LT1 Convertion

I was just wondering, what would I need to upgrade on my car to do an LT1 convertion. I can get the engine, tranny and wiring harness. I know I would probably need the gauge cluster as well. Would I need to upgrade the radiator? Is there any other little things that I would need to upgrade?

first thing you will need is a bit of free time.
about two days. unless you've got somone that really knows this car. then can be done in one.

i almost forgot your question, yes you do not need to upgrade your radiator but you do need to upgrade your fan to duel, you need two fans
to keep it cool.

Question from me as well, I have a 96 V6, is an LS1 possible in this car? I have helped my dad do engine swaps before, but on a 92 chevy 1500, little different, lol. Will the rearend need replacing/reinforcing for LS1 on nitrous? Matt, you know me, and if I go V8, 500 Hp is right around the corner, so what would all be involved?

I thought the radiator needed to be upgraded, due to the fact the LT1 uses reverse cooling? And I already have duel cooling fans.

Did a little more research and found this website.

Does anyone know where I can find the LT1 Engine crossmount? I'm trying to get an estimate of how much this thing would cost, and if it would be worth it. Thanks guys.
