  • running lean

hey guy i just found out that i was running VERY lean. so i ordered new injectors. since my car is sitting there with the heads out right now i had to get the parts over nighted to me for tomorrow. so the only thing that i could get where the 42.5 lb injectors from zzperformance.com. since she has been in the shop she got the gears, posi, p&p of the heads, cam, 3 angle valve job and the inline fuel pump(haven gotten her back yet) so with my whole set up and the hp tuner will i have any problems running those big moster injectors? check out cardomain for all the mods!

You will have one problem. Those injectors will not just plug in. You will need to change the electrical connectors and modify your fuel rail. It took me about 4 hours to modify the fuel rail and solder new connectors on the wiring harness. If you need more info, let me know.

    Here are the connectors.

Here is a thread about this.

How do you know you are running lean? All I did was change the O2 sensors becasue one was reading false and failing. All fixed now.

well a speed shop is doing it so i will let them worry about it. and i always had a feeling that i was running lean and when i called today to find out the progress on my car he told me. but it doesn't really matter cause this was a mod that i was going to do a little while down the line anyway!

About 99% sure. You have the same motor as a Grand Prix GT and on ZZP web site it even says you will need the connectors on 2000+ GTs.
