    Rear main seal replacement?

    Anyone here ever had to do this? I am taking my transmission out Sunday and having it sent out to have it built...........Mine as well replace my rear main that is leaking while I'm in there.

    What all needs to be done to replace it?
    1996 Camaro, Built Motor(L/C,Cam, Ported), T66 FFF Kit, N20, 36 lb. Inject., FMU, 255 Walbro, 00+ Manifolds, SFC, LCA, Tubular K, Adj. PHR, 17x9.5,x11 Chrome ZR1, Front 35MM/Rear 21 MM Swaybars

    Just get the felpro kit, BS 40649. It's pretty self explainitory. I did it before I put the engine in the bird. Clean all mating sufaces & your good to go.

      Can you tell me what all is involved? If I have the tranny and flywheel off, do I need to undo anything else?
