Took the care to my mechanic after having some problems. The car "putters" or "breaks up" at higher RPMS. My mechanic says its an ignition problem. He says the car is making more power because of the cold air, and their is not enough spark.
An MSD ignition will cause a dual, or multiple spark allowing the car to accellerate smoothly. He said it can be installed for $600!!! I thought this was a lot. Let me know what everyone thinks. THanks in advance.
I'd be willing to bet your running out of fuel. Adding the MSD will not fix your problem(I'm 90% sure of that).
Ideally find someone locally w/ some scanning software and check out your injector pulse width and O2's at High RPMS.
Just my 2 cents.

They dyno tuned my bird.
If it is an ignition issue there is a MSD DIS4 unit, $350, plus 3 CIU (coil interface units) required and a sh*t load of wiring.
I tried it and the car stalled and died, I ditched it.

lol first check spark plug wires... take a spray bottle of water and while the engine is idling mist water onto the wires to see if they ground out or if it makes the car studder. Its the first thing i would check because its a cheap fix. Otherwise check fuel filter, cat and TPS sensor. My moms 98 bird was doing the same thing and finally i checked the plug wires and that was it the whole time, it ran like a champ afterwards. With the charger it could be fuel crap too it would be nice to have it checked and tuned but i would try the water mist first. Just trying to help,
