Hey guys- I did alot of searches, and I couldnt find some information.
First off, I just purchased pgriffith's supersix heads, with compcams springs.
I am going to change the cam, but I simply can't decide on what will work best. I want alot of power under 6,000- I'm not really looking to raise the rev limiter too high. Also, I love torque, and I also enjoy choppy/lopey idles. But, most importantly, regardless of sound, I want to DECREASE my quarter mile times, so I guess the power band would need to start somewhere
in the 3000's, right?
It might have to pass emmissions, but it might not- because I have fake dual exhaust and they always seem to test the pipe without alot of exhaust, so I should pass the test even if I shouldnt really.
I have a 98 M5, with 75,000 miles. Only exhaust work is a flowmaster muffler. I have whisper lid, K&N, and fra. Also, I have 3.73 gears.
Now, on to the meat and potatoes.
While I am changing everything, should I change the lifters and pushrods? Do these need to be taken care of with higher hp levels? With the heads off and engine out, is there anything I should change to increase performance, or increase longevity?
And finally, will I benefit by raising the compression ratio?
After all of the installations are done, I plan on having SLP or another shop dyno tune the engine, so that will help too.
Thanks Guys!

Edit: Who would want to increase times? I'm dumb sometimes, lol.
