yep what tiago said. $1200 for a 3.4L is too much to pay if its new or not. I would get a unkyard one for the car.

whatever you do do not use www.tacreations.com, they are overpriced in my opinion, and you will call 5 times a days straight to have no one answer the phone, and the part you wnat, advertised on the web, will get spold out form under your nose. Oddly enough, have had problems form them before I even owned my 3.4L , back with my 2.8L.

They are on my official, I don't give a rats *** , how what kind of deal they have I refuse to buy from them list.

maybe try www.speedautomotive.com, they have soem used f-body parts, maybe a 3.4L also.

              Here, try this: http://www.car-part.com/

This is a bunch of salvage yards that network together to offer parts, etc.

how much would a dealer charge me for a used one if they have them or a new one? cause i want to just buy from a place and have them put it in there instead of picking one up from a junk yard..

Also try the networking thing. Nachius hooked me up w/someone who sold me a 3.4 from a 94 camaro for $210. Saved me about $300 local by doing that 12 hr round trip road trip to Chi-Town & back. Average price around here is $600 for low milage down to $450-475 for higher milage. USing the internet & the phone, let your fingers do the walking. Oh yeah, there's a company on e-bay that regularly puts rwd 3.4 on it, with a 30 day warranty I think.
