I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong forum.
I just started drag racing and I want to start playing with the PCM
Would the 98 3.8L Manual Jet PCM work in my car, if no, why not?
Is my only alternative to modifing spark advance and air/fuel the MAFT+ ?

No the 98 will not work the computers are different every year from what I understand, and yes for a 96 the maft+ is our only alternative :(
I e-mailed JET Performance and they said that they did not make a PCM for the 96-97 3.8L Camaro and would not make one for the 96-97 3.8L Camaro. I don't know why they won't do it. There would be a lot of buyers out there (including me ) that would buy a JET PCM for the 96-97 V6. I guess the best option is maybe having the ECM programmed by a garage with the necessary tools?
