• Another Cam Question...

I've been looking at some of the cams listed on the site in the cam database for the 3.4L Camaros/firebirds. My current mods are small, but I plan on doing shortie headers and roller rockers at the same time i do the cam, just to knock it out all in one go. I already have the AIR, EGR, and all that removed from when I swapped the new engine after spinning a bearing in my other b/c of low oil pressure. :(

But back to my original question. I'm looking just for any suggestions. I want something that is good for everyday street use, with a good idle, but a plenty larger powerband. I've noticed its hard to find cams and such for the 3.4L as well.

So a good set of roller rockers, (1.5 or 1.6) and a cam with the characteristics i mentioned before.

Thanks for any and all help!

You can get a crane like mine.
You will have to get new valve springs for just the cam and stock rockers.
I can't rember How much the seal stuck up above top of the guide it was less then a .10th of an inch.
I may have damaged the valve seals because I only have .080'' clearance over the valve guide top at .480'' lift but I dont care because I will have fully modified heads to put on (done all my self).
I'm not like one of those ricers that pays some one to do all there dirty work for them, just the big heavy stuff for me... for now.
My cam has 216*/228* @ .05'' duration and .454''/.480'' lift with 1.5 rockers ( 1.6's would give .480''/.511'' and damage to untouched stock heads)and I will put new 1.6's on there when I put the heads I have been working over here.
