Alright I have a 3.8L v6 firebird and I want to figure out what is the best Heads, Cams and so on that I should do for my v6. I was also thinking about strokeing it to a 4.1 then supercharing it but not sure if that would work. Some one please help me to try and hook up my v6. Also if you have suggestions please tell me where you can get them from. Thank you everyone. Oh anyone from virginia beach, virginia

    Search!

Edit: Aww, what the hell... Some places you might want to try are:
    www.zzperformance.com
    www.intense-racing.com (controversial place)
    www.abbotracingheads.com

Others will probably weigh in here, but, from what I've heard, stroking the 3.8 and then running boost is iffy. You can break the crank pretty easily.

Get your heads and cam from abbotracing...they are great guys and their heads and cam are currently running the fastest N/A v6 f-body.
If you check out FullThrottleV6.com you can get a lot of info on their heads/cam prices and specs. They just had a cam group purchase a few weeks back.

What kind of HP and Torque gain would you get by stroking the 3.8 and shaving the heads? I can guess a ballpark number and it would probibly take for ever searching for the info. So does anyone have any 1st hand knowledge on this subject. Im thinking about 40 hp and maybe the same in torque. Ill tell you one thing tho if your looking for a cheap worthy mod get your heads done. You can get your heads complietly done up, im talking valves,port/polish,shaved the whole 9 yards for about $125 a head ! And let me tell you the minor HP and torque gain and the peace of mind knowing you have shiny new heads is well worth it. Can i get an A MEN for HEAD JOBS ?!!!

Edit- Oops i was going to copy and past this in a new topic. I didnt mean to reply here with this long *** post.

If you stroke...don't boost. (short answer...search back a couple months to find out more)

a stoker kit costs about the same as a used SuperCharger. I know what I would do. :D

whatever you do...decide whether you are going to keep the engine N/A or if you are going to convert it to Forced Induction. Many modes for either...some are similar...some are incompatible.
