Where can i get rings for my 3.4? seems no autoparts store in my area carries them and i didnt see any online either. I'm prolly gonna get a set of Ross pistons (dunno if im going N20 or FI yet so unsure on which set). Also, since i'm planning on using some sort of power adder, id like something better than factory. Can i get chrome or gapless rings for this motor? thanks for all your help.

most pistons come with them, as for where to get others, im sure total seal makes them, if not they most certainly could

if you plan on having the car for a daily driver i would advise against chromemoly rings as they are known to take a long time to seat, and you could be adding oil a lot

Do you know if the ross pistons come with rings? Its seems that you have to order wrist pins seperately so i was thinking that the rings were seperate too. but thanks for the heads up on the chrome rings... i was unaware of that. you wouldnt happen to have any part numbers for any rings would you? thanks

Ross pistons do not come with rings. Hasting and Total Seal both make good ring sets for the 3.4L V6

just because they arent listed dosent mean that they dont make them... thats a good rule of thumb for all of our engine parts

i dont know any part numbers, my wiseco pistons came with rings

i got my pistons from ebay.. a killer deal, i have been told that i am the 3rd owner of them , the previous owners were grand am GT owners, they are dished to yeild a 10.0:1 compression with a 28CC combustion chamber volume (what the 3400 heads have)

yes they are forged, mine are dished, im sure they can be made for any application though, you can get them from www.jbodyperformance.com (although the price tag will hurt)
