Why do you think there is tuning software for 98+. Magnus' is the only right now and its not cheap. When enough people buy it he will probably make it for the other V6 engines as well (3.8L at least).

After we get caught up with all the new stuff we may dip back into the later years like 97, but really the 97 year alone is all by itself. It takes a lot of work to do JUST the 97 pcm where as 98+ are very similar.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

Fuel system is completely different, gauges will have to be changed.... its really going to make your car a hybrid for sure.

Can we get a check list going then to swap a 98 PCM into a 97 car?
1. PCM (repinning needed, lots of work).
2. Guage cluster from 98.

fuel level sesnor, all EVAP equipment, body harness
the only real way to do it withou tearin the entire car apart is to make your car a hybrid..
