  • How much trouble is it to swap 3.4 to LT1

I have a 95 3.4 camaro and i was wondering how much trouble it is to swap to an LT1. I know have to change the tranny but will rear end hold. also what else would i have to change or swap. Should i take it to a shop or can i do it with a few of my friends they know a good bit about camaros.

Do a search. Not necessarily in the section, but in General too. This has been discussed enough that you should find some good information.

Yeah...tons of stuff out there on a swap. Some people completely oppose them and others are all for them.

You definitely get the biggest bang for the buck, with over 100 HP gain...but it does get costly. Most people do want to change rears for the gears, disk brakes, posi, etc.

      check out v6conversion.com also.

I know a guy who did it in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Sure he is an engineering major with above average skills.

For some its as easy as swapping a set of wheels.

Don't get me wrong it is a major deal and you should be at least somewhat mechanically inclined.

I think it took Magnus about a week to swap out a 3.8 to LS1,

Basically it's the same V6 to V8 swap
I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.
