since all the People with SSM powerpacks are now with LS1's.. it just makes it seem like this powerpack wasnt worth the money..
is this true? should i say screw the PNP with 3 angle valve job, and just get a cam with some headers?

you don't know that.
I've got ported and polished upper and lower intakes, I just haven't put them on yet.
But let's take a look see and a little thinky about it.
have you ever actually SEEN the inside of the manifolds, the runners? they are OE castings abound, it's rediculous. Carbon buildup, NOT anywhere near gasket matched. SO, what I did was I gasket matched everything, mirror polished the runners (removed all castings first), and satin finished where the manifold enters the heads.
Don't tell me that won't do a little something for power. Maybe not more than 4-5 horse, but it's SOMETHING.
4-5 horses for how much cost? I mean, if ur just gonna stick w/ na, spending 300 bucks for that is kinda goofy, now if you see 10-20 from it in a sc application, or plan to do sc later, then yea, it makes more sense.
not to be an a$$, but I want u 2 dyno b4 and after to show me the gains you get, maybe I AM wrong and it makes more hp than just 5 and is worth having done.

i've got SSM heads, P&P upper and lower intakes coming this summer... don't worry, i will dyno before and after... and my cam 216/216 .520"/.520" 112 110

i tell u what, if u pay me 2 dyno, i will c 2 it that u will b the first person 2 no the gains. but b4 u do, u should no that i only paid 90 bucks for everything shipped. does that sound good 2 u, b4 i go ne further?
it's not goofy, the way you type is. seriously i can't comprehend half of what you type.

Good call. It doesn't take much effort to type out the words.
this is my thing to right now.. i have my motor coming apart again soon for my 2nd cam swap. i'm really debating on whether or not i'm going port the intakes..
since when did being that grammatically correct matter? it's not like I'm using some strange dialect to talk w/, and if it's hard for you to comprehend combinations of letters and numbers to signify words, such as b4, u, 2, ect., then that's ur prob.
neways, this topic isn't about my grammar, it's about the intakes. who did ur intakes? SSM, or somebody else?

not to mention the signature that's long enough for 3 members...
i did the intakes myself, ported and polished them by my lonesome with a dremel and some skill. Just because I'm not certified by any type of machinery standard...
it's organized, and there's no rule that says it can't be that long.
so, even if u did dyno pulls, it'd just be 4 ur own P&P job. I was hoping that u'd have had SSM do it. eh well w/e, u do ur thing, I'd rather se gains from SSm intakes or from extrude honing them.

but hey, everyone starts somewhere

Yea I remember somewhere about the Sigs length supposed to be 6-7 Lines maybe??
Anyways so saying you ported and polished yout OWN upper and lower intakes?
So in other words you could polish the intakes off of your car without buying EXTRA ones and you would see a gain? This cost you every bit of almost nothing correct?
All I know is almost nothing seems like a very good price to me for ported and polished intakes, There are a few people that do want to squeeze every ounce of power out of their cars and this seems like a relevent way to help with gains.
navyblue2000 I know your car is VERY consistent at the track how bout you get those things on and see "on the average" if you gain anything at the track? Even though you won't be able to dyno that is solid proof. For some reason I'm thinking on a car even without a poweradder they're going to help, and having some "track" gains is enough proof for me even if its .05 "on the average"!! You have what intake, exhaust, LSD, and a maft? I'm sure a more highly modded car would respond even better to breathing which has been proven time and time again!
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
