Not exactly what you're looking for, but here's a video of my car with the GT2 with open headers. I'd imagine the GT1 would be similar.

I am looking into this cam as well. If anyone is using this cam I would appreciate some info on how it performs.

hey guys i have the gt comp cam i love it. it goes well with my port and polished heads. major hp gains. i love it. with my entire set up not including the nitrous my car keeps up with a mustang gt. but i can tell you that you are going to have to have your computer tuned. i have a hp tuner. well worth the money

You need a tuner with the GT1 cam? the website description says it is not needed...

A cam will probably cost around $1000 + install. You also need to have all the supporting mods done already.

It will run without tuning sure, but to really unlock the true power and potential of the cam, or any major mod, you need to be tuned for it.

With my car untuned it put out 167 hp. That is why you must get it tuned....

After tuning it put out 223. I wouldnt waste my time on the GT1. I'd go ahead and get the GT2. I have the stck converter and it is fine for daily driving. I've never had it die once, even untuned. If I could do it again (probaly will) I'd get the torque converter and GT3. GT2 sounds damn good IMO.

Guess that will have to wait til this summer :D

So let's say I get a programmer and try to do this myself. What would I need to change in order to use the cam (GT1 or GT2) to its highest potential?

The GT1 will run fine without a tune. I put down 220 through the stock manifolds with just a maft. I gained 10 rwhp with headers. I really haven't gained much with tuning. But my tune is pretty much haft assed.

My sig should have all of the major stuff I've done.

From start to finish, the whole thing ended up costing right around $2000. The cam stuff was $1000, and the heads added another $1000.

I bought the cam and rockers from ZZP. Pushrods from 3800Performance. Springs came with the heads from SSM. Lifters from Summit.
