You said your cam was streetable, And helped you run a 13.8 in the 1/4. Which cam is it again. and what parts do you need to install it? what is it like, power, idle, driveability, computer, how hard was it to install? Don't mean to bug you but I want a good cam I can use on the street.

    COMPCAM CUSTOM GRIND:

    Duration: Intake212/Exhaust212
    VALVE LIFT: .520/.520
    Lobe Seperation: 112
    Intake Centerline: 108

You will need some stiffer valve springs. Only problem is COMPCAMS is out of cores so it could be a few weeks or maybe even months before they get more in.

Magnus always says its a good daily driver cam. I dont know about the computer but It seems his cam may have caused Knock issues. You will have to wait for Magnus to reply this is all I know.

My cam is very streetable.. It does set an occasional SES though. But that really doesn't matter. I've lived with SES for 2 years now. You learn to love it.

I'm not sure what caused the KR problem really.

I was reading that post, have you solved it? Also how hard is the install. Do you have to remove the radiator to get to the cam or is there enough room to get it out?

You have to remove the fans not the radiator. You also have to remove intake manifolds and all your valvetrain. You will also need a pulley puller to get the camshaft pulley off.

Do you think the kr issues are more of a valvetrain noise or do you think its the cam itself, or from the ported tb?

I don't know what is causing the KR issue right now. If I did i'd fix it.

I did not have to remove the fans to pull the cam out.

My next cam swap I will only be removing valve covers and front cover.. intakes will stay on. I think I can do it that way in a few hours. I'm sick of pulling intakes.

                    keith-
i talked with somone off the clubgp board, and they mentioned that rocker arms/springs/or retainers will hit the guides after ~.525 lift unless you mill them down some.
                    could that have been it?

Nope, Tom@sueprsix machined the heads for extra lift.

I also replied to that post btw.
