so i tried logging some runs today and the thing isn't working. i just got it in the mail. the software installed fine. i went to try it out and connected everything together correctly. when i open the program and try to start it , i'm getting a error code saying the it's not conecting to the car. i can't even put in my regerstation number... need help asap

Mike - I had the SAME problem when I first installed AutoTap...I just kept trying and trying (opening and closing the software) until it finally came up with the registration screen. Once it did that I was fine. So I don't know why it dosen't automatically come up the first time if you keep trying it should eventually come up. BTW-I hope you got V2.03...if not download it from Autotaps web site. It fixes a lot of bugs that were in v2.02

Edit - I almost forgot, but I assume you already know...You need to be connected to the car, and have your ignition turned to the 'on' position when you open the autotap software.
